Delete your FreqMapper account and data

This page explains how to request deletion of a FreqMapper account or the data belonging to one unlinked mobile-app installation. It is available without signing in so people can understand the process before starting it.

Delete a linked FreqMapper account

If the Android or iPhone app is linked to a FreqMapper profile:

  1. Open your FreqMapper profile and sign in with one of the methods already connected to the account.
  2. Open Sign-in & security and find Delete your FreqMapper account.
  3. Type DELETE, then choose Delete now or Delete in 7 days.

Delete now begins permanent deletion immediately and cannot be cancelled. Delete in 7 days can be cancelled from the same profile page before its deadline.

Delete data from an unlinked app

If the app is not linked to a website profile:

  1. Open FreqMapper on the phone.
  2. Open Settings → Profile & data.
  3. Under Delete account or app data, choose the option to delete this app's data.
  4. Choose Delete now or Delete in 7 days and confirm the request.

The app must be able to reach the FreqMapper service to submit or cancel the request. Erasing local history or uninstalling the app does not by itself delete data that was already uploaded.

What deletion removes

Completed deletion removes the account or installation and the personal data associated with it, including linked sign-in methods and devices, precise trip routes, individual received-here samples, support records, and support attachments. Phone-only history and uploads waiting on that phone are erased when the mobile deletion request begins.

Privacy-safe community coverage may remain without the account, installation, radio, original trip, real packet identifier, or exact route attached. Shared regions, boundaries, Watchers, and regional settings are not one person's account data and are not removed with that person's request. Short-lived operational records and encrypted backups expire under the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
