FreqMapper v1.0.11
Summary
FreqMapper v1.0.11 makes radio selection clearer on Android and iPhone, adds saved-radio deletion, and improves Watcher visibility on mobile maps.
What's new
- Remove radios you no longer use from Saved radios on Android and iPhone. A delete button opens a confirmation explaining that only the saved connection on that phone is removed—not the radio's enrollment, mapping history, or Meshtastic configuration.
- On iPhone, choose TCP, enter the radio's hostname or IP address and port, then tap Connect over TCP to select the radio and start connecting in one step. The default Meshtastic TCP port is 4403.
- Watchers with available positions appear on Android and iPhone maps with their Meshtastic short names, making them easier to identify.
Improvements
- A prominent Connect using control on Android and iPhone separates BLE for nearby Bluetooth radios from TCP for radios on your network. Guidance explains each option, and the control stays visible when switching connection types is unavailable.
- Saved radios are filtered by the selected BLE or TCP connection type on both platforms, so the list shows connections relevant to your choice.
- On iPhone, the connection-type selection follows the selected radio. Network radio entry appears in TCP mode, while Scan and Stop controls appear in BLE mode.
- The connection status on Android and iPhone shows the connected radio's name instead of only Connected, helping you check which radio you are using.
- Deleting the currently selected saved radio clears that selection so you can scan for or enter another radio. Deleting a different saved radio preserves the current selection.
- iPhone Watcher badges include an eye icon and a short-name label, with the badge width adjusted to fit the name.
Fixes
- On iPhone, Watcher badges remain above coverage and base-map content, including after coverage refreshes, rather than being hidden by map layers or nearby road and place labels.
- Corrected iPhone initialization when restoring saved radios and the saved radio selection.
What you need to do
No preparation or configuration changes are required for these changes.
Mobile availability
The changes cover Android and iPhone and become available through their respective testing channels when builds containing this release are published. This product release does not itself publish mobile binaries.
Known limitations
Disconnect the current radio before changing between BLE and TCP or deleting a saved radio; these actions are also blocked while a connection is in progress. On iPhone, they remain blocked while disconnecting. Map badges represent Watchers with available positions, and iPhone Watcher badges are display-only.
