FreqMapper v1.0.7
Summary
FreqMapper v1.0.7 makes newly discovered Meshtastic radios easier to find and choose on Android and iPhone, with scan results placed higher on the screen and the strongest Bluetooth signals listed first.
What's new
- A dedicated “New nearby radios” section separates newly discovered radios from saved radios, so previously saved devices do not appear among the new choices.
Improvements
- During and after scanning, new nearby radios appear immediately after the scan controls and status, ahead of connection details and saved radios. Before scanning, the usual saved-radio reconnect layout is preserved.
- On Android and iPhone, new nearby radios are ordered by strongest Bluetooth signal first. Radios with equal signal strength are ordered alphabetically by name, ignoring capitalization.
- On Android, the former “Saved and nearby radios” list becomes a separate “Saved radios” section lower on the screen, with saved radios ordered alphabetically by name.
- On Android, scanning now shows “Looking for nearby Meshtastic radios…” while no new radios have appeared. If a completed scan finds only saved radios, it shows “No new nearby radios found. Saved radios appear below.” If no radios are found at all, the existing Bluetooth troubleshooting guidance remains.
- On iPhone, “New nearby radios” replaces “Nearby Bluetooth devices” and displays scan progress or “No new nearby radios found. Saved radios appear below.” when there are no new choices.
- New nearby radio choices on iPhone now include an explicit “Select” label, making the next action clearer.
